Health Food Store

Hello world.

Last night I watched the movie Food Matters on Netflix. It got me even more fired up about trying vegan/vegetarian food. I even bought the PDF file that they sell at the website. I doubt I'll go through their detox program, but I thought the recipes were interesting. I also liked reading about the superfoods. I went to this Health food store today, for the first time, called MaMa Jean's. They had all kinds of things. I bought an expensive juicer, and all of this healthy food (often organic, vegan, or locally grown): kale, spinach, avocado, blueberries, whole coconut, ginseng capsules, raw vitamin C, bananas, oranges, apples, goji berries, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, figs, kelp noodles, vegenaise, carrots, agave nectar, apricots, parsley, alfalfa sprouts, hummus, kiwi, grapefruit, beet root, ginger root, tofurkey and another tofu meat-replacement, local milk, portabello mushrooms, flax crackers, raw cacao beans, and celery. Not a bad start on a super-healthy diet. Let's see how it pans out.

Here's a picture of a few of the things that didn't make it to the refrigerator.

Veganism

Hello world.

Lately I've been considering going vegan. A big part of my reasoning is health, but also I guess I'm an animal lover, if by "love", you mean "the lack of a desire to chop something up and eat it."

For instance, if your significant other asks "Do you love me?", you might respond, "Well, I have no desire to chop you up and eat you, if that's what you mean."

First post

Hello world. This is my first blog post. Here is a picture of my dog. Pretty cute, eh? She's very sweet, smart, and obedient. I give her lots of love, good food, and exercise. Her name is Little Girl.
